Journaling as Practice

I find the use of my journal helpful as a tool for personal growthand spiritual growth. When I use my journal, I take three distinctive approaches:

  • Freeform, free flowing, stream-of-consciousness journaling followed by reflecting on what has risen in the journaling,
  • Daily reflective journaling with a focus on gratitude, and
  • Questions and prompts that come to me from others and from daily living.

I intend this page to include prompt and practices for use with the journal. As with any practice, use it as you will. Do not let missing a prompt or not journaling as another opportunity to judge yourself; if one finds themselves judging self, let it go. Journal as you can and will; let go any other expectations and value judgments regarding journaling/not-journaling.
