Self as Loved, Precious, Particular

All are loved, precious, and particular. If we can begin each moment with this realization, it changes our perception of the moment. It also changes our perception of self and everyone and everything we encounter.

As people who recognize our own preciousness and how unconditionally we are loved, we learn to only allow that sense of being Loved, identify who we are. We can become less bound to the perceptions or identities repeatedly put on us by others. Also, recognizing how precious and loved we are frees us to see others through the same lens.

Begin each day with the affirmation:

I am loved. I am precious. I am unique. I am a gift.

Pay attention to the moments when you feel yourself giving rise to other perceptions of self as “less than” in any way. Try to live from a place of recognition of how infinitely precious and unconditionally loved you are simply for who you are right now.

If you are unable to get past feelings of being less-than, seek out a friend and/or counselor to help you uncover the deep wounds that seem to keep you from knowing how loved and precious you are!
